These notes ©2017, Andrew Carnie. Originally taught by Miroslav "Bata" Marčetić. The dance is from Southeastern Serbia. This version of the dance is unusual in that it's 12 bars long. You can find a 10 bar version of the dance (which is more common to the region) here.

Music: Marčetić CD "Serbian Folk Dance, Vol 3"
Meter: 2/4
Formation: Open circle in V position, lead to the right
Introduction: 4 bars, no action

Part 1

Bars 1-3: take six walking steps R (1), L (2), R (1), L (2), R (1), L (2) in LOD
Bar 4: Facing center step on R to R (1), Rock on L crossed behind R (2), Rock back forward on L (&)
Bar 5: Repeat bar 4 with opposite footwork and direction
Bar 6: Repeat bar 4
Bars 7-12: repeat bars 1-6 with opposite footwork and direction (traveling RLOD)

Do this step until the leader calls a change

Part 2

Bar 1: Traveling in LOD, step on R (1), close L next to R, no weight with a bounce on R (2), step on L next to R, with a bounce (&)
Bars 2-3: repeat bar 1, two more times
Bar 4: Facing center step on R to R (1), Rock on L crossed behind R (2), Rock back forward on L (&)
Bar 5: Repeat bar 4 with opposite footwork and direction
Bar 6: Repeat bar 4

Do this step until the leader calls a change

Part 3

Bar 1: Facing center, but moving in LOD, Jump on both feet (1), hop on R, bringing L up around to back (2) step on L behind R (&)
Bars 2-3: repeat bar 1, two more times.
Bar 4: Facing center step on R to R (1), Rock on L crossed behind R (2), Rock back forward on L (&)
Bar 5: Repeat bar 4 with opposite footwork and direction
Bar 6: Repeat bar 4

Do this step until the leader calls a change

End with three stomping steps LRL in place.
