These notes ©2018, Andrew Carnie. There are a number of line dances choreographed to this music. See the "see also" section below. This is the version choreographed by Rosie Multari. It also seems to be the version done most frequently by international folk dancers. Rosie Multari choreographed it under the name "Stealing the best", Beverly Barr taught the dance under the title "Pot of Gold" (which is also the name of another dance done to this music. The dance is very similar to the dance called "Above the Rainbow", which appears to be a simplified version of this dance. 

Music

Meter: 2/4
Formation: Individuals scattered around the room all facing one wall. The dance is a 32 count, four wall dance. Hands behind your back.
Introduction: Wait 8 bars and start with accordion.

Bar 1:  Facing front wall, stamp R next to L (1), kick R forward low (2)
Bar 2: Step R (1), L (&), R (2) in place
Bars 3-4: repeat bars 1-2 with opposite footwork
Bar 5: Step on R to R  (1), Step on L behind R (2) [In Beverley Barr's notes there's a little hop on the Lon the & count before count 1, where you bring your R knee up, with R toes pointed down, like the beginning of an Irish "seven step"]
Bar 6: repeat bar 2
Bars 7-8: repeat bars 5-6, except on bar 8, turn a 1/4 to face L wall
Bar 9: Walk forward towards L wall, R (1), L (2)
Bar 10: Walk forward R (1), L (&), R (2)
Bar 11: Step on L foot forward towards L wall, while pulling R shoulder back and pivoting CW 1/2 to face R wall (1), step forward on R towards R wall (2)
Bar 12: Step L (1), R (&), L (2) towards R wall
Bar 13: Facing R wall, Touch R toe forward (1), touch R toe to diagonal R (2)
Bar 14: Repeat bar 2
Bars 15-16: repeat bars 13-14 with opposite footwork

Repeat the entire dance having progressed to face the R wall, which is your new front wall. And repeat to each wall.
